A girl I used to be friends with is pregnant with her 2nd child, a boy. Her first boy is named Ryker. She's naming the second one Kyser.

If it were spelled Riker, I could see it being a Star Trek reference. Not that I would go that route myself.

I used Riker for its Star Trekkiness, but it's my dog's name :)

I believe Ryker is German/Dutch.

One can only hope it's for Star Trek and Usual Suspects reasons.

Ryker might be ok. Though a bit to Trekkie for my tastes. But Kyser is awful and to use the two together is downright wrong!!!!

A girl I used to work with named her child Rykers. Of course I said "Like the prison?" She had no idea it was a prison, but really seemed happy that it shared the name with her son. WTF?

Also, somebody seriously needs to knit that baby a baby hat with a giant spike on it.

I know the first one is Ryker Sky Linn. No idea about the newest baby;s name (I think she's due in about a week).
