Hi,

I've been observing this community for a while. I love baby names! :) I was hoping to have baby #2 in a year from now... But I found out 2 days ago that I am pregnant! :P

SOOOO.... Onto the baby names. I am only about 1 month. So, I have no clue what I am having.

My name is Erica, my fiancee is Stephen and our 6 year old daughter is Kayla.

I have a VERY sick obsession with K names...ESPECIALLY for a girl.
I think we have already decided that if we have a boy, we will name it after his Dad.

So, any suggestions for a girl name?

Maybe you could just reply with one female name that you really like... maybe that will give me some ideas! :)

Oh- I don't like common names... like... Katie, Amy, etc... I like those names, but I like something different for my 2 nd kid. :)

Thanks for any help!

Hmm. Lots of K names seem to be alternative spellings of C names....

Kalista
Kara
Kassia
Katarina
Katriel
Kiara
Kioko
Kipling

Although I have to say I prefer the C spelling of most of those...
Katriel and Katarina are so lovely.

I didn't mean Ciara like "see-air-uh" or "see-are-uh"

I meant Kieara like "Key-are-uh." There's an actress named Kiara Knightly, I think.. if that rings a bell.

Ciara is pronounced key-are-uh actually. Like like sierra

Its Keira Knightly, almost! pronounced Kear-ru ('kear' rhyming with hear and 'ru' like you're teaching a child the alphabet lowercase..ah..bu..cu..du..etc.. :-)

I had a friend named "Calla" in grade school. I've always thought it was a neat name. Definitely not as common as "Rose" or most other flower names. I suppose you could spell it with a K if you wanted to.
I've also had a friend named "Keziah". I think it is very pretty.

You and I are exactly the same as in spreading them out. I am pregnant with my 2nd child 20 weeks as of today, and my daughter will be 7 in May. I wanted my kids a lot closer in age too, but well, this is how it will be. I can't give any K names as well I can't think of anything unsual but not weird.

umm I didn't pick out baby names till after the ultrasound, I don't know the sex of the baby as they couldn't see it.

I prefer the "C" version of most names as well... but since that's not what you're looking for, here are a few suggestions:

Kadence
Kendall
Kendra
Kristina
Kasia
Karmen
Katherine
Keagan
Kiara

...hope you like some of those!

I fell in love with the names Kamryn, Keely, Keliya and Kaelin for if we have a girl...unfortunately my husband did not! However we might end up with Kamryn as a middle name still.

I might be a little late, but I just wandered into this community, and thought maybe i'd respond.

What about Kaimmy..I don't really know how you'd spell it, but I work with a guy name Jaimmy {pronounced High-mee) so maybe you could do something with that.
