Thoughts on 'Gray' as a middle name only for either a boy or a girl.
 
(I don't quite see it as strong enough for a first name but think it's a nice middle. I think pairing with a more feminine or more masculine first makes it able to go either way.)

I like Gray as a middle name although I like the Grey spelling better. One of my friend's middle name is Gray (Grey?). It was her Mom's maiden name.

I love it, it's on my list as a middle name, though spelled Grey. I think I only have it one list, but at the moment, I can't remember which...boy, I think.

I went to school with a Grey. He had the unfortunate last name of "Hair" though. He was two years ahead of me, but his sister (with the normal name "Leslie") was in my grade.

When we were brainstorming names while pregnant, we decided on Nolan Grayson for our son, intent on calling him Gray (family tradition to go by middle names)... he was born and he is much more of a Nolan than Gray and I wish we had used Gray as his mn instead of Grayson. So yes, I LOVE Gray and think it would suit either gender!
