Names of countries
Jul. 10th, 2011 09:38 pmWhat are your thoughts on Argentina for a girl? It comes from the latin adjective meaning "silver". Do you think it could work as a middle name?
In general, how do you feel about using names of countries as people names?
Are there any you like or feel comfortable using?

Date: 2011-07-11 02:03 am (UTC)There are countries that I love for baby names, and there are some I don't. There are some that I think make huge political statements that I would really want to shy away from, lol.
I personally adore, adore the name Ireland and would definitely use it.

Date: 2011-07-12 05:30 am (UTC)Don't like Argentina. Wouldn't use it. It makes me think of Evita and if I met a kid with that as a name I would think "someone's trying really hard."
