(no subject)

A lovely family I follow on YouTube just welcomed their third baby over the weekend. They have quite an...interesting naming trend.

Their first is a little girl named Jacelyn who is 3, followed by Kacen, a boy who just turned 2. The new baby, a girl, is named Peyson.

It has got to get confusing in that house...

ETA- The 3 year old picked the name and then the dad picked the spelling.

D-:

Peyson sounds like a way to say pissin'. Gross.

haha & if I'm right, the fam she follows is from the south... I'd love to hear them say Peyson w/ their accent :)

Giving siblings naming privileges is a BAD idea. I know a family that consists of a Josh, Tiger, and Train.

tbh I despise all three names... but the family is cute so... whatever I guess. I was hoping (if it had to rhyme, which it did) for Gracelyn.

I like the name Gracelyn! And I've never heard it elsewhere, other than my mishearing the pronunciation of the name Gracyn.

ooooh boy. I don't know why people let their young children seriously name the other kids in the family - we'd have an Elmo (who is actually Lucy) and a Scarf (Harrison) if we took our 3 year old's suggestions seriously. *sigh*

SCARF!! so cute.

There is a story about my husband's family wherein his grandmother asked the older kids for name suggestions for her youngest child. His uncle suggested "Doorknob". She ended up being "Jane" instead. ;)

Wow! I don't like the "ay-son" sound in all of them! Too much for me!

Sounds like if they don't already have a lisp, they are bound to develop it!

Those are ridiculous. Each one is individually terrible and as a unit they sound even worse!

I'm not so sure I'd let my toddler pick out a name for a sibling...
