Athan???

There is a new reality TV show on here in Australia, trying to find some woman a wife, and that was the name of one of the guys.

Pronounced like Athen from Athens (the Greek city) as opposed to Athan in Nathan.

What do you think.

Personally I think it could grow on me :)

If it was spelled Athen then it would be better. Athan does look like the "athan from Nathan"... and Athen (as in Athens) sounds better. I think I like it, but it's too confusing

yes, i would've pronounced it Ay-than, not AH-then. with a different spelling, it wouldn't be bad.

I'm with the other people- Athan sounds like ay-than to me and Athen would be better.

horrrrible. If its supposed to prn Athen, it should be spelled Athen. Athan looks like Nathan minus the N and it just sounds blah.

I know an Athan. He's about 12 years old now. I personally don't like it. Sounds like something is missing.

It's like a hybrid of Aiden, Ethan and Nathan... I don't care for it.
