I've been falling in love with the name Louis lately. It seems perfect! Simple and easy to pronounce because everyone has heard of it. Not too dated, and not trendy or super popular. Goes well with a lot of middle names, and with my favorite girls' name Juliet. Also, I live in St. Louis and I love that connection.

What names have you been falling in love with lately? What makes them perfect, in your opinion?

I find Louis confusing, lol! Loo-ee? Loo-is? Loo-eez?

I love the name Harvest for a boy lately!
I don't think I would use it since I already have a baby named August.

Icon love! My college had a quidditch team!!
(Btw, is August what you ended up naming baby #3? I can't remember seeing an announcement anywhere in this community, but I remember you because I generally love your naming style.:)

This was my thought too. I think "loo-iss", but I remember once years back we had a discussion about this and a lot of people said "loo-ee" (loo-eez would be Luis I think)

I love Louis. I knew a Louis in college who was absolutely delightful. I've personally always thought of the names Louis and Naomi as being a lovely and not too obvious tribute to Allen Ginsberg, which is awesome.

Lately I love the names Ariel and Zivia. Zivia I've always liked, but people seem to react weirdly to it and assume it is made up or creative, ala McKenzy or McCaydynn or Mcsomething. I just saw this fantastic online exhibit with LOC that featured Zivia Luebtkin prominently as one of the most important figures in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, so maybe the historical cred of the name Zivia will become better known. To me it is creative, historically meaningful, beautiful, easy to spell, and uncommon. Perfect. :)

I've grown to love Charlotte, Juliet, Liliana and Carson. I can just imagine adorably perfect children of my own with these names. They just sound so sweet.

I love Louis (French version, Loo-ee) but I'm afraid people will always pronounce it like Lewis.

Recently I'm really falling in love with Henri (again in French). It's actually really rare in French Canada, at least in my area and it's simple and old-fashioned.

Louis is very nice =). I personally pronounce is LOU-ee, like Louis Theroux.

There are no "new" names that I've fallen in love with, but there are some that were already on my list that I've been starting to love more...especially Cecily and Lydia.

I really like Louis.

I know there are names that have been growing on me lately, but I just can't think of what they are at the moment!
