The name of my new neighbor: Aletheia (Ah-lee-thay-ah), meaning "truth" in Greek. I think it's a pretty neat name, wdyt?

Ha! I thought of it as a potential girl name when I was in high school, after discovering it in philosophy class.

The closest pronunciation to the original would be Ah-lay-TEH-yah.
With the "th" sound it takes on a more spanish feel.

I knew a girl, her name was truth... she was a horrible liar.

My housemate dated an absolutely stunning woman named Aletheia who was incredibly seductive and had the most soulful dark brown eyes and mess of dark hair. She was a sensational belly-dancer (and has an amazing body) and I will always think of her and smoking her weed in the backyard with Ben Harper playing in the background when I hear that name.

I knew an Alethea in high school. She wasn't very pleasant, though, and it soured me on the name.

I know an Althea, she's one of my friends grandmothers, and a real matriarch.

I knew an Alethea. She pronounced it "Uh-LEE-thee-uh." It is pretty neat.

I think I would say it wrong the first time, but once corrected I'd get it and I really like it.

I love how the name could sound like Alicia in Castellano. :)

Pretty. Prettier than Althea, which I've had more exposure to.
