Alter ego game!
Jun. 10th, 2011 09:43 pmWe haven't had a game in a while, have we? :)
Take your first name and middle name initials and come up with a different name for yourself, using your initials.
But here's the challenge: they can't just be names you like with those initials, they have to sound good together (to you, at least) and, ideally, they should suit your personality.
My answer will be in comments :)

Date: 2011-06-10 08:53 pm (UTC)Even though Seth's a boy's name, I'm picking it anyway :)
Jennifer Neva
Date: 2011-06-10 08:57 pm (UTC)Josephine because I love it and Noelle because I was born around Christmas. I do think Josephine Norah/Nora would be pretty too though.

Date: 2011-06-10 09:34 pm (UTC)Good job!
Re: Jennifer Neva
Date: 2011-06-10 09:35 pm (UTC)Jessica Arlene
Date: 2011-06-10 09:32 pm (UTC)Jenna is basically the only other J name that I like and that I can picture myself with, it also means "fair-skinned", which I definitely am. Since it ends with an -a, I feel like the middle name should start with a different sound, so that rules out many A-names that I like. I think Audrey would suit me as a middle name, I find it sophisticated and balances Jenna which sounds more modern / sporty.

Date: 2011-06-10 10:10 pm (UTC)I like the name Schuyler, but I'm not entirely sure Yasemin suits me. I know a girl named Yasemin though, and I've always thought it was a really pretty name. Can't really think of any other Y names I like. Real first name is Stacey, and my middle name is Chinese.

Date: 2011-06-10 10:11 pm (UTC)I'm not entirely satisfied. I think Margaret suits me fine, but I have trouble finding L names that I like for girls so to find one that suits me on top of that is difficult.
Hm...maybe Lark? But that would necessitate a middle name change. Lark Moira?

Date: 2011-06-10 10:26 pm (UTC)Alter-ego: Magdalen Araceli
I love the name Magdalena but I think it looks funny with a middle name that starts with an A. Adilfa is my mother's name and I had a hard time choosing a different name. Araceli is a family name so I figured it fit.

This was difficult, I find my initials hard to work with! lol Still dont think this flows very well but it's the best I've got!

Date: 2011-06-11 02:53 am (UTC)New name - Etta Lauren - Etta was almost my name. My dad loved Etta James, but my mum didn't like her name, so they named after Ella Fitzgerald instead. My middle name is after my grandfather, Laurence, so I wanted to stay with that namesake too.
I hate my initials

My initials were not easy to work with--especially since so many K names are just variations on Kathleen!

Date: 2011-06-11 09:18 am (UTC)Alter ego: Josie Madeleine My parents would never have given me a name that had a "proper" nn. If I was naming myself, I'd probably be Josephine nn "Joey" Maya.
(Just incase I ever decide to change my sex) my male alter ego would be:
James Morgan - to me Morgan is a girls name, but its the only 'M' name I like that flows with James and I suppose it is unisex..

That was extremely difficult; I generally don't seem to like many K or F names. I read through a few websites for inspiration, but it was rough to find one that was "me" (mostly the F names).

Date: 2011-06-12 01:19 pm (UTC)Sanya because it reflects my heritage and is roughly as common in its culture as my own first name is in mine. Frida because... it begins with a F and I can't come up with any F names. (Better suggestions are welcome. I just realized how few F names I have.)

I feel like my parents did a really good job with flow, and these letters are hard! I like very few names beginning with these letters, and ones that flow even remotely well are even harder. But I do quite like how these go together, so that's something!
