Some Names
Jun. 2nd, 2011 10:56 pmI just finished a book by a female author. Her first name is Sundee.
The book is dedicated to her two daughters, Skye Lettiann and Umbria Mae.
The book is about twin girls, Keira Sol and Minerva Lunette. "Keira" means "sun" in Egyptian, as does "sol" in Spanish. "Lunette" means "little moon". Interesting, and subtle, I like it.
I read another book recently with an interesting sib set: Shakespeare and Gandhi, both boys. The parents mentioned wanting to name their daughter Onomatopoeia....certainly puts a new spin on using a word for a baby name. :)
And two babies, just born, that I know in real life:
Savannah Jo-ella Michelle (g)
Ryan Fox (b)

Onomatopoeia is fun to say, but as a name? I don't like it.

I love Savannah.
