I just watched a baby story. They named their baby Adam Edin (pronounced Eden). I hate it. What do you think of it?

The second episode the people named their baby Avery Mary. I love Avery but not with Mary! Thoughts on this name?

What's Edin?? Oh well. At least it's just a middle name, and his first name is just great.

Haha I dont like either name and they are to similar. Oh and Edin is his dads first name!

Yeah, they are definitely too similar, and I wouldn't put them together! But in my experience the full name is said together so rarely that it doesn't really matter... he'll probably just go by Adam E. Whatever.

I actually love Adam - it's my favourite name for a boy. Paired with Ezra :)

Hmm Ive always disliked Adam. I feel mean saying this but perhaps I dont like it becasue there was a kid in elementary school named Adam who was really.. weird. Aw, Im soo mean. He wasnt a bad person or anything just really really bizarre-maybe not exactly my dream child?

I was watching too... I don't mind it. I like the name Adam, and Edin was his dad's name so it was meaningful. Although they do sound a little silly together.

Yeah my main problem is they sound bad together. I guess it doesn't help that I dont like either name on their own either.

I tried to remember his last name, but cant. I think I would have remembered if it was really bad though. haha

In referece to the as long as the last name isn't Eve I guess - I was thinking along those lines. I love Adam. I have two friends named Adam - both great people and would use the name in a heartbeat if it suited my needs. Because the dad's name is Edin I can understand the significance. But pronounced "Eden" - Adam and Eve lived in the garden of Eden... so that's just a really weird combo to me to name their kid Adam Edin... I do think -that in that case if they had to use Edin - they should have gone with a different name... Ezra would have been better.

I like Adam, but not Edin. I know that Edin is his father's name, but I've always considered Eden to be a girl's name.

There are too many -ay and -ry sounds in Avery Mary name. Avery May or Avery Marie/Maria would have been better. I'm not all that fond of Avery, either.

i love the name eden but actually prefer it as a girl's name. i also don't care for it paired with adam anyway. sounds like too much like adam & eve.

Avery Mary pretty much rhymes... And I'm not a fan of Avery.

Mary is good, but not with Avery, which I don't even like at all.

They're both too rhymey and Edin sounds REALLY feminine.

Adam and Eden/Edin are both fine names but together it is a bit of overkill.

Although I don't like the name Avery, the combo Avery Mary doesn't bother me at all.

I generally don't like names that I associate with my alma mater, and Avery is one of those names... however, aside from that, I do like the name Avery. Not with Mary though.

I have several problems with Adam Edin.
1. The double biblical referece
2. The spelling of Eden
3. I only like Eden for a girl.

Avery Mary is too rhymey but most people I meet, I never know their middle name anyway, so in my opinion it isn't a huge deal.

Adam is fine. Edin sounds odd with it to me, but again it is just the middle name.

Ugh, I've noticed that A Baby Story is apparently THE place for trendy names now! In the past month or so I've seen an Ava Elizabeth, a Mackenzie with a big sis Madison, and a bunch of other crap. Sigh.

Adam and Eden didn't go too well the first time, as you might recall... so I don't see that they go very well together now. Even if Edin is Dad's name.
