My friend's brother and his girlfriend are about to be new parents to a little girl.

Dad's name: Shayn
Mom's name: Leeann (not sure how she spells it)

Their daughter: Makenna Chayanne

Not sure how they're spelling Makenna, but that middle name, though it looks like it, is not Cheyenne. No, instead it's prn "Shay-ann"....as in a combination of parts of the parents names.

I kinda wish they would spell it Shayanne, although normally I would say the opposite, just because I totally didn't make that connection without your explanation. I don't know. It's just so far away from my style regardless of spelling.

I don't like the spelling of Chayanne/Shayann, but I've seen worse names. Still, I agree it's tacky. At least they used it as the middle name and not the first...though Makenna also makes me cringe.
