Ahh, please help me choose a name for my baby girl!

I kinda want something to do with my Christian faith as a middle or first name (one or the other). I really like Grace, but does anyone know any names that aren't necessarily super Biblical, but have meanings that pertain to God? For example, my niece's name is Eliana which means "my God answers me", and I know there are a lot of Hebrew boy names like that - Nathan, Jesse, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew any girls names that fit this description?

I'm also interested in any unique, pretty Greek names. I like Charis (which means Grace), Alethia (which means Truth), and Rhema (which means the word of God). WDYT?

We are still VERY open to any suggestions, but I'd like your opinion on my favourites:

Madelyn Grace
Norah Grace
Amara Grace
Gabrielle Joy

What's a nice first name to go with the middle name Isabelle?

Hannah (depending on what root word you use, it can mean "grace")
Ariel ("lion of God" in Hebrew)
Elizabeth (several meanings, most known to relate to God being gracious, kind, etc.)
Talia/Talya/Tahlia ("dew from God" in Hebrew)
Mary/Maria/Marie/Marielle

I've only ever seen it as a nickname for Natalia, but it seems to be its own entity as well, based on the research I did.

I've got a Charis :) But NO ONE can get her name right. It's infuriating.

I have to chuckle at your list because my oldest is Norah Madeline - I like both of those from your frontrunners. The rest aren't really my style, but there's nothing wrong with them.

I'd suggest looking at boy names that have Christian meanings and finding their feminine versions to help you in your quest for those. :-)

Eliana, Jesse, and Nathan are all Hebrew names, so you may want to look into a Hebrew baby name book from the store. On the other hand, they may be associated more with Judaism than Christianity, depending on how popular your selection is.

I know a little girl named Charis and she is the sweetest creature on the planet! I think Charis Grace would be pretty, but then it's grace, grace... :\

One of my girl friend's names is Meridith Grace (yes, MerIdith). I think it's pretty, but Meridith means great noble ruler, though, so not along the lines you're looking for.

I love Norah Grace (but would personally leave off the H).

I agree with no 'h' on Nora. It's probably the only name that I prefer without it. I insist on Sarah, Hannah, Rebekah, etc. but for some reason, Nora is prettier to me sans h.

What about Isabella Faith? I also love Norah Grace, it is just lovely.

My personal favorite name I associate with Christianity is Jubilee, but I get that a lot of people dislike it.

Elizabeth and its many variations are lovely names meaning "pledged to God" and it has many, many nicknames to choose from! Variations of Elizabeth: Eliza, Elspeth, Elsbeth, Lilibet, Isabelle/Isabella/Isobel/Isabeau, Elizabetta, Elizabella, Bess, Elise, Elisa, Lisette, Lisa, Elsie, Elsa. Nicknames: Elle, Ellie, Ella, Liz, Lizzie, Liza, Eliza, Elf, Elsie, Beth, Betty, Bette, Betsy, Bess, Bessie, Libby, Lilibet, Lily, Izzy/Issy, Belle, Bella, Ibby, etc.

Also, Anne/Anna/Hannah/Anya mean "grace" and Annie is a sweet nickname. :)

Catherine/Katherine means "pure" and so does Agnes, which probably isn't your style, but the Welsh version Nesta is really pretty! Miriam is a version of Mary and also an Aramaic name meaning "longed for child" which is sweet. Mirabelle/Mirabella might be your style, too, meaning "wonderful" and Miranda means "marvelous", Roxanna means "dawn" or "little star".

Harmonia obviously means harmony and is a lovely name with Greek roots. Eudora is a pretty Greek name which means "generous gift," great meaning for a sweet new daughter. :) More Greek names: Phaedra (fay-dra), means "light", Rhoda means "rose", Theodosia means "giving to god"/Theodora means "gift of god", Zoe means "life".

Glad to help! Cora Isabelle would be a stunning combination, and Cora as a tribute to your maiden name is a lovely thought. :)
