[identity profile] jjfirefly.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
My pregnancy is only 6 weeks along, but my husband and I are already talking names. We're not taking things too seriously yet, but we have our top ten family names for each gender and I'm trying to come up with nice sounding combinations. I'm curious to see what combinations you would come up with from the following lists, keeping in mind that our last name is two syllables and starts with J:

Girls:
Abigail
Chloe
Elizabeth
Esther
Jane
Joan
Josephine
Joy
Maxine
Sunshine

Boys:
Belden
Gray
Hudson
Joseph
Martin
Richard
Simon
Thomas
Vincent

I personally love the sound of Abigail Joy and Simon Gray. Sunshine would make a cute middle name for most of those names, but stay away from Joy...Joy Sunshine is just too much. Same goes for Gray Hudson - reminds me of the river ;).

I LOVE the name Josephine, but I don't think I like the way it sounds paired with any of those names. Joseph on the other hand works with all the boys' names except Joseph Vincent because the f and v sounds blend too much. Vincent Joseph works though!

Martin Gray
Richard Simon
Richard Hudson
Thomas Richard
Walter Simon

Abigail Chloe
Jane Esther
Maxine Joy
Joy Elizabeth
Elizabeth Joan
Joan Abigail
