So, I posted here a few weeks ago with names I'm throwing out there for my 4th daughter (conceived AFTER a sterilization surgery and in the midst of a divorce. Boo.). Francesca Blue seemed to be the winner then. However, since we all have "J" middle names, I think I'd have to change the Blue to something else, who the hell knows what that will be.

Anyway, I'm wondering about a new name that keeps popping into my head and what first reactions will be to it.

Willa Jeanne

I love it because my grandma is Wilma Jean and I am Traci Jeanne. The sibs are Kayleigh James (Jimi), Scarlett June, and Harper Jolene. Jimi loves the name but only because it's a character in the Beverly Cleary Ramona books. Shit. I remembered that then.

WDYT? How about Francesca Jeanne (nn. Frankie)?

I really like Willa and Francesca. I think Willow is gorgeous too and you could use Willa as a nn.

I'm not huge on Jeanne but it's a family name and I totally understand that.

I'm not big on Jean/Jeanne either, I'm just sick of trying to find another J name. I, too, love Willow but know 2 already so I won't do that. I already made that mistake with Kayleigh...and Scarlett...and Harper. They always end up being trendy names after I name them.

I agree but you have to remember that I'm in Appalachia AND bestowed "Jolene" on my last child. LOL. You can't get much more southern than Jolene.

There's this 60 year old woman at the local Subway who calls EVERYONE Sugar and Baby in a ridiculous southern drawl who is named Willa Jean. It's hard for me to see this on a baby. I still vote Frankie Blue! But Francesca Jeanne works too.

I don't like Willa. I do like Willow though, oddly enough, but I see you already know two so that's out. I like both Francesca Jeanne (not actually crazy about Jeanne but it's a family name and it sounds well enough) and Francesca Blue, but I'm not sold on the nn Frankie.

I think Francesca Blue is absolutely gorgeous. Willa is not really my style, but Willa Jeanne does have a nice ring to it! Either option would be a solid choice, in my opinion. Francesca Jeanne works, but doesn't flow as well as the other two.

Frankie is an adorable nickname, by the way!

I think Francesca Blue is such a fantastic name, I'm sorry to see you change it. However, if you have established a J-middle-name pattern, it's probably best to hold to it so she's not the odd one out.

Jeanne is a great choice, since it's a family name. Others that come to mind are Juniper (too close to June?), Jacqueline, and Jonquil.

Willa is not a bad name at all, but I like Francesca a little more. (Willow, on the other hand, would have a slight edge on Francesca.)

Thanks. I'm really starting to think "new beginnings" as a reason to not go J middle names this time around. That was a life with him.

I just can't seem to appreciate any other name as much as Francesca Blue. I think in the long run, she'd appreciate the uniqueness in the family and not feel left out. I don't want to saddle her with something I don't like because it's a J.

Hope I have the nerve to go with Frankie B. Anyone that matters to me wrinkles their noses when I mention it.

Well, that's silly. There's nothing to wrinkle at. Blue is uncommon, yes, but it's gotten too much usage by now to be called Weird. And Francesca is just lovely. (And Frankie is an adorable nickname!)

Best wishes to you, I know this must be a very difficult time. I'm sure little Frankie (or whatever!) will bring sunshine into it!
