For Easter, my grandmother gave me a bunny Beanie Baby, named Gardenia. Now I'm wondering, could this actually work as a name on a real person? After staring at this thing for a couple of times, I've almost become convinced that it's a pretty name.

WDYT?

A lady at my church is called Gardenia :) It suits her, but I've never thought about it because it just seems so HER to me that I can't picture it on anyone else.

Gardenia was actually one of my favorite names when I was about twelve, haha. Dina/Dena/Deenie for short. I still think it's very pretty!

Gardenia reminds me a lot of Gertrude.
It's a nice name, but kind of old-fashioned.

The only Gardenia I know is a goat...so I will forever associate it with farm animals. But it is a pretty name.

pretty much any flower is game for me. With the exception of super scientific sounding names like Clematis or weeds like stinging nettle.

Gardenias are beautiful, unique and great-smelling. Plus, tons of nn opps! I particularly like Dena or Denia as a nn for Gardenia.
