What do you think of the name Nathaniel?

I don't really like it. And I don't like Nathan or Nate. But I read in baby name book, the name Thaniel. I like that a lot. It really struck me.

So what do you think?

i like nathan and nate, but i'm not too fond of nathaniel or thaniel.

Thaniel feels a little incomplete to me, but I did know a guy growing up whose name was Nathaniel but was ALWAYS called Than which I really like.

I don't mind the name itself, but it has a kind of lukewarm connotation for me.. One of my brothers old best friends... His nickname was always Thalmie which I found interesting.

I like the nickname Thaniel though. Has a nice ring.

My husband has a little cousin named Nathanael. We call him Tater =) It's a nice name, but off limits for us=\

I also worked with a lady whose son's name was Nethainyal (yes, hideous spelling) and he went by Thainyal (ugh... typing that makes me cringe even more)

i love nathanial and nate for a nn. i'm not a big fan of nathan or thaniel.

I like Nathaniel. May I ask why you don't? (Not saying you should like it, just curious why you don't)

Nathan's so-so for me. Nothing against it, but wouldn't use it either.

Thaniel- I don't know. Something's off about it to me, but I'm not sure what it is. It's not horrible or anything though. What does it mean?

I don't know why I don't like it. It just doesn't sit well with me. Could be the "N" as a first initial. I am not sure exactly. I do have a cousin named Nathaniel. I don't hate it, I guess it's just not my style.

I think I like Thaniel because I love Daniel and Gabriel. I wouldn't ever use it, but I prefer it over Nathaniel.

The name is just related to Nathaniel. Apparently, it's also a last name.

I like Nathan and Nate, but not Nathanial. I can see the appeal of Thaniel, but I can't make my mind up about whether I actually like it or not.

I love Nathaniel and Nate. It's on my top 5. I dislike Nathan and Thaniel. I mainly love Nathaniel/Nate because of Six Feet Under lol.

Ha, that's exactly the same for me! Aww... I love Nate (Fisher) so much. I think I'm too biased by him to make any real judgement about the name itself.

I am so in love with Nate Fisher. And I'm a definite Brenda-Nate shipper.

Ha, I'm such a Nate/Brenda 'shipper too! Though I'm such a spaz that I tend to get confused and say "Brate and Nenda" when I'm talking about them out loud...

Anyway, yeah, I miss the show so much. I get sad thinking about it!
