(no subject)

I just read that someone's boyfriend wants their child to be named Jaymz something. I forget the middle name. The woman likes it, but thankfully in my opinion, doesn't think she'd actually be able to use it.

Opinions on Jaymz? I don't like it cause it's just too weird for me, and it also looks to feminine to me for some reason.

There was a guy named "Jaymz" on So you think you can dance this season. Alls I kept thinking was that the creative spelling of his name looks to feminine and that it was spelled the way a homosexual man would spell it.

I immediately thought of that Jaymz as well.

I love how the host would pronounce it Jessicar and James.

[identity profile] coconutchica.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
that is a terrible spelling. Just name him James, and if the kid wants to be kr8tyv on his own, he can go by Jaymz when he's 16, and then never again!

[identity profile] morphinae.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
OHhh, that's supposed to be pronounced James. I was reading it as a really bad spelling of "Jams". Yeah, not a good name.

There was a Jaymz on "So You Think You Can Dance"

[identity profile] mrsduryee.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
whoa...clearly I didn't read you first comment. Sorry! He wasn't that good at all.

I like Allison and Benji... :)

[identity profile] miss-tee.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Benji...he and Heidi were so amazing together this week!

[identity profile] ky-whitney.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I am in love with Benji. I freaked out because of Allison in yesterday's eppy!

I don't think it looks feminine I just think it looks retarded.

IMO James is the best male name there is and its not super popular. So why ruin it with a kreaytiv spelling?

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a great name, but I think it IS super popular, at least here. My brother is James, and wherever he goes (every class he's in, sporting group, etc) he is usually one of three. But I agree with you otherwise and if it's not popular where you are then that's great =)

[identity profile] ladyartemisa.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
that is idiotic.

[identity profile] ewaeva.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
If the boyfriend likes it so much, he should change HIS name to James so no innocent children get hurt.

[identity profile] ewaeva.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
D'oh. I meant JAYMZ. I guess it was hard for me to bring myself to type it.

[identity profile] jenniferdunn.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Jaymz will be lyke the coolezt kid for surez!

[identity profile] turabiannights.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Jaymz looks like something a fourteen year old James would use as a joke to prove he is gangsta.

[identity profile] thunderofsins.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
name him james and if you want a less common nickname go with Jimi

[identity profile] elemmennope.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
So ugly. It's like it thinks it's being clever, but it's not, and that just makes it all the more offensive.

[identity profile] ilovehounds.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
it's great if you're giving birth to a DJ or hip hop artist. otherwise, NO!

[identity profile] ky-whitney.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
LMFAO!

[identity profile] ashadelic.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It reminds me of a friend of mine in high school who changed the spelling of her name from Tiffany to Typhanii.

[identity profile] morphinae.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Ugh.

[identity profile] ky-whitney.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
How yucky!

[identity profile] tiffrobyn.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
As if Tiffany isn't bad enough already?

(spoken from a Tiffany)

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
whoa that looks like a disease. Typhoid maybe

[identity profile] turabiannights.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely - I was thinking typhus. Typhanii, Typhoid and Typhus would be a great sibset.

[identity profile] calixbat.livejournal.com 2006-07-28 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I dont like it -at all.

[identity profile] shyloh.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
When my husband and I started dating (12 years ago), and we talked about kids, he wanted to name his son Jaymz. He said something about James from Metallica spelling it that way once and he loved it. I hated it, not only the spelling, but the name. Over the years, I have grown to love the name James, but would never go with Jaymz.

[identity profile] itcouldbelove.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate it all around.

[identity profile] itcouldbelove.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks, I like yours, too. Go Anna!
