Tabitha, definitely. I love that name.

Daphne...
I can't get past the 'daffy' thing. I get a sort of Luna Lovegood image in my mind, a little wacky and weird. Sorry!

Elsa...
This one sounds regal to me, but I also associate it with a particular time period. Well, Elsie was in the top 100 from 1880-1920, so maybe that is what I am thinking of. You would think this would make this name ripe for a comeback, especially with people latching on to Ella and Emma and so forth, but so far, no. I am beginning to think that this is precisely the sort of name you want to pick if you want its freshness to have any kind of longevity, so I do see this as a contender.

Kaia...
This one I think would fit in with all of the other K names that are so popular right now, but would also stand out a bit because it doesn't have that overexposed long AY sound. Do you think it fits in *too* much for your taste? I voted for this one, but only after struggling over this vs. Elsa; in retrospect I think Elsa might hold up better in the long run, although I do still like this one a lot.

Callista...
I ended up not choosing Callista because in my mind it's still associated with the one actress; while she's cute, I don't admire her enough to want people to think about her when they meet my child. Disregarding the actress for a moment, I have to admit that I find it a little showy - it kind of says "ooh, look at me everybody!"

Tabitha...
Tabitha is very "Bewitched," and the 'th' sound isn't a favorite of mine.

Callista: I never watched that show either. It's just that since I've never heard it on anyone else, I associate it as strongly with her as I associate Cher with Cher, Madonna with Madonna, etc. It's not the name's fault, but I have a little warning bell that goes off in my head with famous people's names since those people get so darn much publicity if they do anything silly or reprehensible.

Does it have to be Daffy (Daphie) though? Couldn't it be Danny (or Dannie... that looks more feminine)? Daphne... Dannie, that's not too much a stretch is it? I think it would be cute.

Elsa is my name, so you might say I'm biased... :)

I like Daphne, Tabitha and Elsa a lot. I think I might like Elsa the best, but Tabitha is a close second. It kind of depends on your last name.

DON'T LIKE Callista or Kaia at all.

I said Callista but I prefer Calista. I love it. I don't like any of the others but have no bad connotations with them.

i think of the lioness in Born Free when i hear Elsa, but if Kaia wasn't on your list, i woudl've picked Elsa. I think Callista would've been third place, then Daphne, and Tabitha last. Tabitha sounds like a cat's name to me (haha, i guess i can get over Elsa being a lion name but not Tabitha being a cat name--you probably should just ignore me cause i clearly have issues).

i also thought of Elsa the lioness....

Callista is my favorite of those, closely followed by Daphne. I'm all about Greek names.

Kaia is actually an amazing name, if pronounced "kay-uh" i dont like "kie-uh" at all

Tabitha just doesnt work for me.

I like them all except for Kaia (which is winning ^^;).
I definitely like Elsa best. It's great.

Elsa is super pretty. Very refreshing compared to all the Elle/Ellas.

I voted for Kaia, but I worry that it may be becoming more popular. I went to high school with a Callista who was positively gorgeous, so I think of her rather than the actress. It's a lovely name with a great meaning, "most beautiful". :)

The reason why I chose Kaia out of those names was because it means earth in Swedish. Plus the main character in the "Fearless" books is named Gaia and she kicks ass. XD

Elsa is pretty, but I've got two great-grandmothers named that and it just always reminds me of them. I've only seen pictures of them when they were old so it's wrinkles that pop into my head!

I like Tabitha because I had a stuffed animal named Tabitha when I was younger. It's just attatched to affectionate feelings. :)
