Former Congressman Ace Barbers, who, like Joker Arroyo, obviously had a card-player in the family, has the Christian name Robert, but so do his father and all his brothers.
I think that argument makes a lot of sense. If everyone is called Robert, you have to go by a nickname...and why not go with something slightly off-beat/fun?
I must say I kind of like the sound of Jejomar ;)

Date: 2011-03-29 01:17 am (UTC)making fun ofmy family's names. No, really, some of the people in my family have some eyebrow-raising names. I posted about it in my journal a few weeks ago. I have two cousins named Bong and one named Baby Jane; another cousin married a Divine Apple; family friend named John Arsenic, just to name a few!!
