OK, I posted earlier about a family who was adopting two kids they were going to name Reagan and Carrington. Well, I didn't approve of the names, yet I am glad they adopted those girls anyway. Am I very glad!
What I saw in a blog post this morning made me angry. VERY ANGRY. It turns out that little Carrington came to the family in such a bad state that she was sent to a hospital in the USA IMMEDIATELY after getting out of the airport. She was so malnourished she is ELEVEN POUNDS even though she is THREE YEARS old. Yikes. I just wish she was treated better where she was before. She would have died so soon if she wasn't adopted.
Yes, the orphan crisis worldwide is real. Orphans need help. They need food, medicine, education. Yet the thing they need the most is loving homes.
Here is the blog post. The people involved are Bible believing Christians, if it isn't your flavor, I'm sorry.

That is horrifying. I'm so glad your friends adopted these two girls. I will send prayers and healing thoughts for Carrington. Poor baby.

I'm glad she got adopted. Who cares about a name if she's being well cared for? =)
