Thoughts on the name Drea? (f) pronounced Dree-uh
I think it's short for Andrea or Adria, but I think it could work on its own?

I used to know a Drea, pronounced "Dray-uh" - not short for anything.

That's how I first read it too.

That's how I'd pronounce it too.

I said it Dray-uh as well.

We pronounce it both ways in the US, but the second one is more like On-dray-uh than An-Dray-uh.

I knew a family with the last name Drea and they prounounced it "Dray." However, when I look at it, I initially think "Dray-uh" not "Dree-uh."

Makes me think of Drea de Matteo, who I believe pronounces it "DRAY-uh"

Makes me think of the woman in some of the P90X videos, though she pronounces her name "DRAY-uh."

I have a friend who goes by this. Her name is Andrea (On-dray-uh). However, she pronounces it Dray-uh, as would I. I don't think it's bad, but I prefer Andrea to Drea and the pron. Dray-uh to Dree-uh. Really don't like the way your version sounds.

I know a Drea, pronounced Dray-uh, short for Andrea.

I've always found Dray-uh to be unfeminine and ugly, but that is probably because it is my awful SIL's name and she is just horrible in general.

I can see it being short for Adria, but then I like it spelled Dria, which makes the dree-uh pronunciation more clear. I think dree-uh is much prettier than dray-uh. ;)

I'm reading it Dray-uh. It's kind of ugly, imo.
