I'm 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl. We've decided on her first name for sure, and we're pretty sure about her middle name. But just in case, I'm looking for other middle name options.

The name we have chosen is Anne Louisa, which goes really well with our last name, which is a two-syllable French last name with the emphasis on the last syllable. Let's say it's Dupree, because that's the general pattern, and I don't want to put my kid's real name out there on the intarwebs before she's even born!

So, Anne Louisa Dupree. The other options I'm thinking of are Anne Caroline and Anne Elise. Secretly I want to push for Anne Felicity because Felicity has the same meaning as my maiden name, but husband is NOT a fan. Anyway, those should give you a sense of our naming style.

Can you suggest any other middle names for Anne?

Anne Elise is my favorite, although my brain keeps switching the first choice to "Anna Louise", which I like better than Anne Louisa. :)

Wow, I love your naming style! I LOVE Anne, Louisa, Caroline AND Felicity. Not a fan of Elise, though.

Some other ideas:

Amelia
Juliet
Emily
Katherine
Sophia
Violet
Eleanor
Elisabeth

I think the names with 3 or more syllables sound best, like Louisa, Felicity or Caroline, since Anne is just BAM, 1 syllable. I think the ones with 3 syllables sound best.

Congrats!!!

I was reading this wrong at first, and thought you were naming her Anna Louisa, and I thought...OMG, I love that name! Then I realized it was Anne Louisa. No so fond of Anne, and I think Anna Louisa sounds PERFECT!

I love Anne Louisa. Close to Anne Louise but more unique, in my opinion. :)

My mom is Ann Christine and I've always liked it. I think Anne Christine would look even prettier.

I do like Anne Louisa, but my impulse to do either double -e's or double -a's (Anna Louisa or Anne Louise) with that combo for some reason.

Anne Elise and Anne Felicity are both pretty. Anne Caroline seems a little forced to say aloud.

Anne Louisa is wonderful, I really hope you stick with that! Louisa is a beautiful name, and it's definitely in my top 3.

Anne is one of my middle names after someone, and I think it's wonderful as well. We have a similar style, I think.

But yeah, I'd totally stick with Anne Louisa!

I prefer Anna Louise to Anne Louisa, but I see you're naming her Anne after someone specific, and I support that. I like Anne Louisa, but I'm not a fan of Anne Caroline or Anne Elise. Anne Caroline just doesn't flow very well when I try to say it, and Anne Elise sounds too much like Anneliese.
