My dad gets my mom(Marilyn), me(Georgia), and the family dog(Sophie) mixed up on a daily basis.

My brother's name is Christopher. My mom's chihuahua's name is Cougar. Watch the hilarity ensue.

The crazy thing is that this sort of thing happens ON PURPOSE.

"Hey honey - know what would be the cutest thing eeevvvvaaahhhh???? Let's name our kids as to ensure that perfect strangers will see them as nothing but a blur of Es upon introduction!"

I like all the names... just not together. :-S

Forget perfect strangers! I have a cousin with a name that's very close to mine, and our other aunts and uncles (and, on rare occasion, our own parents) mix us up all the time)!

families have the right to do this, though - it's in the contract :D

My nephews are Matt and Mike, and I'm CONSTANTLY mixing them up. they're like STOP IT! i tell them to shuddup - they know who i'm talking to :P

hehe - they know i'm just messing with them ;)

Wow. None of these are really bad names on their own (Well, okay, I'm not a fan of Emma Jo or Ember, but they're not 'totally ruin the poor kid's life' bad) but together? Wtf were the parents thinking?

I just hope they quit having kids before they have poor little Email.

Wow. What a tongue twister. I wonder if they all have nicknames or something that doesn't sound so similar?

Or they are crazy, and totally have a last name that starts with "EM" too. :)

I LOVE E names, and I think these are all great (except Ember, which I hate), but really? REALLY?

I had stuffed M&Ms when I was little named Emma and Emmett. They were a green peanut M&M and a red plain M&M. I never actually distinguished which was which though.

I really hate matchy-themey name sets like that. I don't understand why anyone would ever do that. I have to say, though, that given the circumstances, they did pretty well. None of them are *too* hideously similar, and I'm actually impressed that they came up with Ember.
