(no subject)

I was just reading a magazine earlier and came across a little girl named, Vienna.

I've never heard it before, and althought not being a fan of using places/countries for names I've fallen in love with it.

What do you guys think? Do you know any Vienna's?

When my husband was growing up, he had a dacshund named Vienna. Anytime I see that now, I instantly think "vienna sausage" and that dog.

I think of Vienna sausage too.

Same.

I've heard it mentioned on this forum before; it's really not my style, but I love it, mainly because of Billy Joel's song of the same name.

It makes me think of sausages. A very weird association for a girls name.

But I do like a similar name for a girl -- Venice.

I know a Vienna that's the capital of Austria, and one that's a song by ultravox. Never really known it be used otherwise.
Am not really sold on it as a person's name, though maybe it could work.

I don't think of sausages. I think of a dessert, which is all this swirly hard creamy stuff with chocolate flakes all over it.

I think Vienna sounds much nicer than other place names, and nicer than Sienna.

i love it... and if you love it i say use it!

And there's the Pepperidge Farm cookie too! Yum!

I did know a girl named Vienna. She was waifishly thin & kind of a bitch.
that said, I don't care for the name but it's not terrible.

The name Vienna makes me think of a really thin supermodel-y type person. And a brand of chocolate we have in Finland.

I think it's very pretty.

And I love your icon.

I mentioned this name about a month ago :)
It's pretty as a middle name I think.

Vienna sausage.
if you stare at the name and concentrate it really is quite beautiful. However, I can't get over the fact that it is the beautiful name of a well known place.

I don't like it. Reminds me of sausage.

I think it's a gorgeous name. But it is not a name I would use.

Vienna Rose is on my list of girls names. I love it- it reminds me of Beethoven, it's where he lived and composed and all that. It's a beautiful name.
