Name suggestions by siblings..

Whenever name discussion comes up, or when someone asks my 3-year-old what his little brother's name is going to be, he says "Benico". It's some word he "made up" that he would say all the time for random things when he was trying to be funny and make us laugh, and then one day it turned into what he wants to name his little brother HaHa.
Our friends little boy wanted to name his little brother "Hulk".
I love their little minds, so cute and entertaining. :)

What are some of the names your children suggested for their soon-to-be sibling?

My friend's four year old wanted to name his little sister Taxi and then later it turned into Hammer, and he consistently answered 'Hammer' for the last half of the pregnancy when asked what he wanted to name her. Strange little creative minds :)

We asked my daughter what the baby on the way's name would be and she said "Pieces. Baby Pieces." She's 2.

Luckily for my husband, when his parents asked his older brother what name he wanted for his little brother, he said Johnny. They actually went with it. Because his family is French, they named him Jean (French for John) but everybody still calls him Johnny.

When my parents asked my older sister what she wanted to name me, she said Minnie (Mouse). I'm SO glad they didn't listen.:)

My three year old is telling me either Boots or Dora. The "baby" in her tummy is Isa. Isadora is actually one of the names on my list.

I loooove the name Isadora.

I have an ex-friend named Leia. Who was born in the late 70's and was literally named by her brother. She's very glad he didn't suggest Chewbacca.

Heh, I used to know a Leia, too! I think she was born in the early 80's, though, and I think she got the name because her parents were such big Star Wars fans.

My 5 year old was REALLY adamant that we name this baby "Addison." I have NO idea where she got it from as we do not know and Addisons, there are no characters on the TV shows or movies she watched named Addison, and she's never had a classmate named Addison. But she insisted, and sometimes still insists, that that should be the baby's name. It's a fine name, but not our style. She also suggested Kelly out of the blue.

My 3 year old kept insisting we name the baby Hannah. Only problem is, her name is Hannah. :D

Baby is going to be Leah.

My sister (7 yrs old at the time) insisted that my parents should name me Popeye. Luckily, they did not listen.

My friend's daughter, Eve, insisted that her parents name the new baby Nadia. She was so insistent throughout the pregnancy, that they ended up naming the second baby Nadia.

My 7 year old keeps suggesting we name our next baby Esther or Millie or Billy. She also announced that she wanted to change her name to Crystal.

I'm three years older than my brother. When my mom was pregnant, she asked my sister, who was five, what we wanted to name him. My sister suggested Brian, and I suggested Egon (the ghostbuster who wore the green suit and had pink glasses from the cartoon; green was my favorite color and I wore huge glasses, LOL). My mom said Egon wouldn't work so I suggested Christopher...probably because I'd heard them talking about that name. So he's Christopher Brian now, though there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Egons of the world. :-)

My boss's two and a half-year-old daughter thinks her new baby brother should be named Schmegley. It cracks us all up.

My brother-in-law wanted to name his little sister after himself when he was 3 years old. His parents asked him what he wanted to name her and he said "Randy" (his name) and would not budge on it so they named her Brandy.

My nephew Dante (7yr old) said he wanted a little brother named Zebul (Zeh-bule). I asked why Zebul and he said his little brother would be a Evil guy and he would have to stop him from destroying the world, but he wouldn't kill him because they would be brothers and love each other. It was the cutest and craziest thing ever, he said this after his mom said they were trying for another kid.

When my mom was pregnant with my brother, I (apparently) insisted that my parents name him Gavin. They decided on Kevin, which is pretty similar. I have no memory of this, by the way.

A little girl I used to look after was asked what she wanted to name the new baby. For the entire pregnancy, she told everyone she wanted to name the baby "Peppa Pig!" It resulted in quite a tantrum when the baby ended up being named Rafe, much to her dissapointment!

My 3.5 year old named the baby "Jiji". He actually called the baby "Jiji" from the day we told him he'd be a big brother again to the day his new baby brother was born. Now he's decided the baby's middle name is "Elephant".
