I ran across a pair of twins today. I was helping a friend with some registrations for an after-school type camp she's running, and she gave me a form for a pair of boy/girl twins whose names were:

Pancake (f) and Kaghen (m).

I don't understand.

I know a family who let their 3 year old son name their new dog, and the dog wound up with the name Pancake. I would love to know the story behind how this poor human child ended up with such a name...

My daughter (then 3) named our ferret French Fry. I told her I had a surprise for her at home and when she saw her (she had been begging me for one for forever, and I've always wanted one it, it wasnt an impulse thing) she was like "A ferret? That's not a surprise, french frys are surprises!"
