Ezekiel, WDYT?

Last name would be Rodriguez. Husband is thinking nickname Ezzy (Izzy), I'm thinking nickname Zeke.

Also, please help me with old fashioned boy names that start with B.

I knew a kid named Ezekiel once. His nickname was Zico ("ZEE-koh").

To be honest? My first thoughts are:

"You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them..." and "Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions..." and "Eat the food as you would a loaf of barley bread; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel..." and... well, do I need to go on? I wouldn't recommend it. I have nothing against biblical names, but I'm not sure Ezekiel is the best choice. My impression has always been that he's not the best-regarded of the canon writers and, especially if you intend to send your child to a Christian school, the other kids will have a lot of ammo to make fun of him with.

As for old fashioned boy names that start with B...

I love the name Zeke, so I would use that as a name and not just a nn if you like it.

Ezekiel is kinda meh for me. But I *LOVE* the nickname Zeke, and think Ezekiel with your last name would not sound bad together at all. For me, Ezekiel is a little bit too biblical, but there's definitely not a thing wrong with the name, just NMS.

Old fashioned boy B names: Brigham, Bradford, Brody? LOL....I just pulled those out of thin air, sorry.

Like Ezekiel, not quite as fond of all the nicknames, but I would agree Ezekiel Rodriguez is a long name.

Aside from what others have suggested, how about Boaz? Super old fashioned! ;)

I...don't think I like Ezekiel.
I hate the nickname Zeke. It reminds of of a bird squawk or something. =/

Unusual, but I like Biblical names. I come across the occasional Malachi and Jedidiah, so Ezekiel doesn't make me flinch.

The only B names coming to mind are Beckett and Beau.

I think Ezekiel is a good name. :)

Off the top of my head I can't really think of many old-fashioned names that start with B, the ones I thought of have already been mentioned. I like the name Benson though. ;)

I dislike Ezekiel on its own, but I also think it sounds very strange with the last name Rodriquez.
To me, Ezekiel is a little Amish boy.
Zeke is cute though, and Izzy sounds like a girl to me but is cute.

Yes, esp. if you'll be pronouncing it the Spanish way (but I'm biased!).
