Double Fail

Would you facepalm if I told you I met a fellow named Michael Jackson yesterday? Maybe not. Michael and Jackson are both common names, they'll inevitably end up together. He looked like he might just possibly have been born before Jacko hit the airwaves, and even if it was shortly after, his parents may have a) not been up on pop culture, or b) figured he was a flash in the pan.

But then I saw that his middle name was Angelo. And now I know there is no excuse for his parents at all.

Let's all giggle at the pregnant brain girl...

I read the first part. Michael Jackson, both are terribly popular, but whatever. Then, I get to the middle name, Angelo, and thought 'But, MJ's middle name is Joesph'. Then, I read the full name and -facepalm-

I thought it was very clear, but I didn't know MJ's middle name. :)

Yuck. Not surprised. I know a couple that just named their son Jackson Michael. They wanted it Michael Jackson but were worried people might think about THE Michael Jackson.

So they spelled it Jaxon Mychael. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

I met a Michael Jackson too... it was in my retail days, years ago. The funniest thing was, I was serving this customer and I commented (like probably ALL sales assistants before me, poor bloke) on his name that I spied on the credit card. We were having a chat and a laugh about it and at the till next to mine this other lady customer starts giggling too, and explained that her own name was ChrisTINA Turner! So we had both Michael Jackson and Tina Turner in the shop on the same day :-D

LOL I thought Michael Jackson's middle name was Angelo or something, and I didn't figure it out until the comments. Oops.

A guy I graduated with was named Will Smith :p I mean, odds are there are lots of them out there since they're both common names, but it was funny when his name was called over the speaker one time and some people behind me who must not have known him were like 'LOL Will Smith!'

Also, a TA in one of my classes last semester was named Chris Brown. Poor guy having the same name as an asshole like that.

There's a regular at my work named Michael Jackson. His wife's name, no joke, is Janet.
