So Danielle had her baby today at 1am. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz (a small baby for her!! Logan was 8lbs 8oz & Kayla was 9lbs 12oz) & 20 1/4 in.
They were not telling anyone what his name would be. She had told me a while ago that if she called all 3 kids together it would almost kinda rhyme. I was dying to know what it would be. Well, damn she was right about the rhyming... his name is Daygan Ryder. :) What do you think?

So it's Kayla, Logan & Daygan. hmm, it's almost a combo of their two names & hers also (because it starts w/a 'D').

So, for those I haven't mentioned it to, I will be completely obsessing for the next nine months over baby names, since I am pregnant as well. Again. ;p

I think I would like Daygan better if it were spelled Dagan.

yeah I thought "Deigan" or something when I first heard it bc I think I've seen it spelled something like that. you know what really strikes me as weird? when you write it, the way that the y & the g look next to each other. lol

It reminds me of Dagon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dagon). I don't know if Fish-god is a really good association.

It's pretty obscure though.

thanks ;) like 5 mins lol. no, really, I think about, 6wks 4days according to my ticker. :) I go to the dr tomorrow to find out what my definite due date is so that might change.

i love kayla (it's my beagle's name) and logan, but i have zero fondness for daygan. ryder is kinda cool though.

that's the part I like too. originally they were going to name him just Ryder as it's the father's mn & a long time family name. but then they (she?) changed her mind.

I'm also glad that I like the name Logan, seeing as how I have to say it every day since he lives with me & I got no say over it. ;)

I've never heard of the name Dagan before and I quite like the name but I hate the spelling. All I can see when I look at it is Gaydan.

He's going to have quite a time at school. I suppose the only consolation is that the way people are naming their children now his classmates are likely to have equally yooneek names!

i don't really like it mainly because i think it's dorky. it would be less dorky for me if HER name was Kayla and her partner was Logan. but to name a third child a combination of the other two's names... that's completely weird to me.

agreed. it's right up there with naming your kids names that rhyme. WHY? just give them their own name & be done with it...

oh my lord in heaven, I hate it. I'm sorry I'm sure he's beautiful and all but Daygan?! Wowwwwwww. I do like Ryder though.
