Hiya! Could I get some opinions please? I'm pregnant with our third and I'm looking for some girls names. Our tastes run to unique names, but ones that people have actually heard of. Just not ones you'd list if you were told to write down the first 20 names you think of, ya know?

My son's name is Oliver Milo and our daughter is Delilah Pepper. I've been scouring online and in books for a pretty but interesting girl's name, what do you folks think would work, especially with our other children's names?

Oh my, Clea is so pretty! I love the name Poppie/Poppy but my husband is a buzzkill about it. My nickname is Ana actually, so we've been avoiding names like Annabelle/Annalise/Anna-ish.

Thanks for the great ideas! I really like the thought of using Poppy as a middle name, would be neat along with my daughter's middle name.

Neat names! I actually love that you mentioned Tallulah, my husband's cousin has two girls, one is Tulla and the other is Veda. If it weren't for that, I would use the name Tallulah in a heartbeat. I think it's delightful.

Thank you! I named her and I found it very fun. We call our son Liver and my sister got us to start calling our daughter Deli, now we're just kidding around about having to find another name that has to do with tasty meat or cheese, like Brie. So ridiculous.

Also, I give my kids a ton of nicknames and one day started calling her Delilah-belle! Then I realized that, oops, she'd then be Delilah-Belle Pepper if I said it all out, hahahaha.

Awww, cute. I was joking around with my husband last night about how poetic and lovely Panchetta sounds, ha. I'm such a terrible person..

I am actually really loving the name Marigold but he doesn't like it as anything but a middle name- he'd love to use Mary but it's too common and his parents hate nicknames so he hates the thought of calling his daughter by a nickname all the time. I think it's silly, as I was raised with about 10 different nicknames used all the time. I love them!

Thanks! I really like a lot of the names on your list- my husband actually put Iris on his, along with a couple others. I love Lucille/Lucy but he has some pretty negative associations with it, unfortunately.

I actually love the name Matilda and wish he liked it too. I was really considering naming my daughter that and some hag customer at work asked me what I was thinking as far as names go and I was stupid enough to tell her. She mocked it for about five minutes and told me it sounded like 'some kinda retarded girl' and said somme mean shit. I do not understand people who try and bring other people down.

I actually brought up Elise with him today and he likes it! I'm super jazzed and the name that I really liked (Marigold) is one he's cool with being a middle name. One daughter gets a veggie for a middle name (Pepper like bell, eh?) and another will get a flower. I'm into it.

You're not bothering me at all! You have excellent taste, obviously. I think Hilda is cute too, but not for this bellyfruit.

Our neighbor's daughter is Laylah, and one of my friend's named her daughter Shelby Delilah.

I also really like Coraline (DH nixed it because of Tim Burton's film, but that is why I liked it so much!)

Delilah Pepper is the sweetest name! I think you should write children's books about her someday...or copyright her name, because it sounds like an adorable movie or literary character!

Penelope is a great name, I dig it! I actually write childen's books already, just nothing that's been published. So far they've been about silly princes and a couple monsters and goofy things like that. Fun stuff. I think it's a sweet name too, makes me smile whenever I say it.
