It's...strange.

I adore it. Its one of my favorite names ever. I worry that it may be too "out there" to use, though.

i really like it too. it's so futuristic sounding to me, and i like the way it looks tbh.

Lol...I giggled when you said "out there." Not sure if that was a pun because Io is one of Jupiter's moons and that Io is way out there...hehe, but that's what I think of when I think of Io!

LOL, its my favorite ice moon....ok, I only know like ten moons and most of them are either Greek mythology or Shakespearean in origin.

I prefer iola or even iolani, io is cute but very....clipped sounding. Also, saying it out loud makes me think of Hi-Ho and the seven dwarfs :/

This. I think it would be sweet as a nickname, but it just looks like an acronym to me. It sounds nice aloud, but written it seems lacking.

*I should say, the "this" I was referring to was that it sounds clipped. Not so much Seven Dwarfs to me.

Is it pronounced eye-oh or ee-oh? If it is eye-oh, then I love it. The other pronunciation makes me think of old mcdonald.

I quite like mythological names but that one's too out there for me. Plus I'm not sure I'd want to use a name which is associated with being turned into a cow.

My friend has a "thing" for vowels and she loves this name. I am pretty sure she has a cat named Io. Her sons are Ian, Evan, and Aaron ;)

I like short names, and I like out-there names, but Io just looks...unfinished to me.

It's "I" in Italian but I guess it doesn't matter outside Italy.
