Out of morbid curiosity...
How would you pronounce the name Kyriay?
That's right, folks. That is a name. A girl I work with has two daughters:
Mallaurie Ahlexus (pronounced Mallory Alexis) and Teishauna Kyriay.
*shudder*
I only know their full names from her facebook profile. I am dying to find out how she pronounces Kyriay but don't know how to ask. So I turn to you. Any guesses?

Based on the way the other name is pronounced, probably something like "Kyra" or "Kiera". I wouldn't be surprised if this was a case of kre8tive spelling gone terribly awry.

That still does not make this right...grammatically OR morally!

I'd say keer-ree-ay.

(I also went to school with a Kyrie).

2. Uhhhhh....KYE-ree-ay? Or maybe kye-RYE-uh? Either way, major WTF. Although, I almost think "Mallaurie" (*snort*) is worse.

I'm also guessing Kyriay would be pronounced like Kear-ee-ay.

Why couldn't she name them Mallory Alexis and (blanking on a normal way to spell Teishauna) Kyrie?
