So the creative spelling thing comes to Portugal - a thing I never thought would happen, as we have a strict list of names you can name a child, with little to no margin to spell things differently. There's a loophole, though: if one of the parents is foreign-born or has double nationality (like me), they can name the child whatever they want.

Thus, tv personality Luciana Abreu and footballer Yannick Djaló (born in Guinea-Bissau) have named their daughter:

Lyonce Viiktórya

This will not go well in a country where half the girls are named Ana.

How would you pronounce the first name? All I can think is it rhymes with Beyonce.

Haha, the double 'i' in Viiktorya makes it look almost Finnish. Crazy.

I like Luciana though!

I don't care for Lyonce, but Viiktórya is nice, for what it is. I wouldn't use the name with any spelling.
