Give shear amount of smack me up side the head names we seem to come across on a regular basis....lets be honest,  all of these whackily named people are going to have to find their way in the wold. Is it possible that outliers are becoming the norm? And if the whack continues, with the way societies views the oddly named today will be the way classic or normal names will be seen in the future?

THIS! For sure. Every time we run across a stupidly named child, we mentally add "tylenol" or "mountain dew" as a middle name. ;)

I... highly doubt that. But then the human race has an astounding way of showing me how stupid it is... so... I guess the real answer is: I hope not.

I really don't think so. The classic names are classic for a reason - they have stood the test of time and are still in use today, some after hundreds of years. The crazy, WTF names that are being used today will not stand the test of time. They are too laughable and beyond strange to most people.

I think common-yet-trashy girl's names are going to become commonplace and normal. Stuff like Kynadee, Brydalee, Mackynzee, Kaylee, Laycee, et all. And obviously the Braydens Jaydens and Raidons are here for the long haul. That stuff is already the accepted norm.

I think geography is going to play a big role too. My husband and I just moved from a state with a really high rate of college educated people and reputable college institutions to Utah, which has a relatively low education rate. I don't know if it is that or the local culture here, but I have seen a HUGE uptick in the number of WTF names we come across on a regular basis.
