New York City. Hence the odd mishmash of ethnicities. I left out the ones that weren't so much odd as just very...culture-specific.

I love Dane, too. I used to know someone whose youngest child was named Dane. I can't remember his middle name, though.

Armani is the middle name, can't remember the last name...they were so memorable, I was putting a carseat in in 100 degree weather and the mom was outside smoking a cigarette while Romeo "helped" me...

Probably, but it was a name first, so *shrug*. It's not the worst, and at least they used it as a MN. Although she probably would have been better off named after an allergy medicine for her FN than being stuck with 'Ryder'... ick.

Ryder doesn't bother me. And I've never heard Allegra (except that kids show that used to be on) as a name so I automatically, and I think most people would, think of the Rx.

Well, it's Italian, so that's probably why it seems normal to me. It's a common term heard in music as well because it means 'lively', so it's a tempo instruction.

i was reading my FL and someone had posted a list similar to this one, and at the bottom was "Depeche Mode" written in bold. i thought it was posted to this community, and was like, "no WAY someone named their kid Depeche Mode." then i realized she was listing music groups from some cds she'd just found, or soemthing. whew.
