Except for a few instances in Country music, mostly female.

I think of Trace more as the male version of the name.

I think female when I hear. Ironically the two Tracys I know are both male.

I did know a male Tracy, but he went mostly by Trace so I still associate it as a female name.

I automatically think Tracy Morgan-Jordan, but since I know it's so popular with women, I'm pretty neutral to it. I like it better on boys, though.

I assume female more than neutral, but I don't think "Ugh... Your parents saddled you with a girl name" when I hear it on a guy.

same - i think female, but i don't think it sounds marked on a male.

I see it as a pretty unisex name, but I don't like it at all.

Apparently voted neutral but I meant female. I'm not fond of the name for either though.

my dads best man was a tracy and usually for a female there is an e in it - tracey, or at least that's been the case with every female tracey i've known

Ive only ever known one Tracy and she was a female. Also the biggest B***h I've ever come across - so any decent feelings I had for the name itself, disappeared. She 'tarnished' it for me, if you will.

Having said that, I'm from Australia, and at least in my region, I've never heard Tracy used for a male. I would personally associate it only with females, though I do know it's used for both.

It's my stepmom's name. So, female.

It's my mom's middle name, but I still think of it as unisex.

I think of it as a female name, but I have met men named Tracy and I've never thought "OMG he has a girl's name!" I know it's a unisex name, but at the same time my gut reaction is that it's female.

I put neutral, but this is a weird question for me, because honestly I think of it as a man's name, but right after I think about that, I think about the only person I've ever known who actually had that name, who was a woman.
