So, when thinking about middle names for children, there are many schools of thought. One middle or Two? Honoring names? Is flow important? Something fun and playful ie Danger?
Well, here's the gem I came across at work today....BabyJoker
the story was they wanted there kids to be able to say his middle name was danger. i also new a couple who had a daughter named dakota blue. which is a cool name, but i wouldn't use.
Not only is that not remotely funny, but it'll be even less funny when he's an adult. Proving yet again that many parents don't realize that their baby won't always be a baby.
I don't know if *I* would ever give my kid a ridiculous middle name like that, but frankly, it's the middle name. It's almost never used and it won't screw up their lives, so go for it!
Honestly, I think my biggest problem is the use of Baby....Hi, I'm a 50 year old man and my middle name is Baby. Mind you, I don't like Baby on girls either lol.
The middle name is a great place for names you can't quite bring yourself to use as a first-- a beloved relative's ugly or boring name, a guilty pleasure, an almost-outgrown old favorite, something more whimsical and exciting than you want to deal with on a daily basis. But it's still your child's NAME. Whimsical does not equal punchline.
