The girl who cashed me out at Best Buy today had her name embroidered on her shirt:  Raechal.  I was trying not to stare, but it looked so off that I wanted to point out that someone spelled her name wrong.  But since she was already unpleasant enough, I figured that wouldn't go over too well.

Haha... I've had some interesting cashier names over the years. I think I've posted MOST of the more interesting ones like Zsaquez and Bryslaine.

That's a legitimate spelling of the name. It's Russian.

I know. I asked mom how she decided on the spelling (being the name geek lol)...She said she wanted him to be unique and thought she made it up.

Oooh.

I've never understood changing the spelling to be unique anyway. It's pronounced the same way and he's still going to spend his life as Alex B. I mean, if they were actually Russian than he might just go by Sasha, which is a lot more unique, but since she thought she made it up I'm guessing that she just called him Alex.

I saw a Brytnee that I kept reading as "Bryn-tree" and was very confused by.

It wasn't until I was in the parking lot that I had the "Oh - that was supposed to be Brittany!" moment, lol.

My sister's name is the perfectly normal, standard Rachel. It is amazing how many people try to spell her name Rachael, Rachelle, Raechel, etc. Rachael, especially, is the misspelling that will not die.
