Our second daughter was just born on Christmas Day. Her name is Elspeth Dove (big sister is Ezra Grace). My question is about nicknames. Ezra usually goes by Ezzie; we haven't totally settled on a nn for the little one, though.

So far we've been calling her Ellie, Elsie, and Edie (since her first and middle initials are E.D.) What do you all think? Any other suggestions?

I like elsie

I like Edie. I think that's really cute.

Elsie and Elsa seem the most natural to me. Or Ellie/Ella.
How about Beth? Kind of a stretch, but it could work.

Elspeth Dove is a beautiful name, I like Edie (and Elsie, but that seems a bit tounge-twisting with Ezzie).

I'd suggest Essie if it weren't so similar to Ezzie.

I really like Elsie! Also, I love your choice of Ezra for your daughter. I love that name on all genders.

I like Ellie best, but it's so close to Ezzie! Same for Elsie, though. I actually think Beth is a nice idea, as someone else suggested.

I think, for the most part, kids should be called what they're named. Elspeth is such a pretty name, why not use it?

I just wanted to note that I love the name Ezra for a girl and that's what I would have liked to have named our first if he were a girl!

I like Elsie the most- but I would practice saying each combination with your current daughter's name, since you'll probably be calling thier names together often

I may be strange, but I'd call her Pete... love your kids names!!!

I like Elle or Ellie.
