I love different names...nothing too common. I think that's where a lot of people get iffy about the names I choose. My boyfriend and his family and my family just...we don't agree on the names. lol

Colton
Cole
Adrien
Addison
Aiden
Avrey
Bailey
Charlie
Brysen
Braeden

Are those names too different? I've only been looking at male names and I've only gotten up to the C's, so far, but I was wondering if anyone else thought the names were a bad choice.

I probably will end up going with something more normal, but I'd like to give myself something with a variety. You never know what name will end up growing on my boyfriend. :)

None of those are really "different." Most are actually pretty common and a couple are trendy.

Colton - I like this. #155 in 2005 though, pretty common.
Cole - Like. #79 in 2005.
Adrien - Prefer the spelling Adrian. #65 in 2005.
Addison - Like it, but too many girls are named this these days to saddle a boy with it. #107 for girls in 2005.
Aiden - Way common. #49
Avrey - Spell it Avery. I love it on a boy. #215 for boys, #66 for girls.
Bailey - Like it. Again though, mainly a girls name these days. I think you could get away with it on a boy though. #512 for boys, #108 for girls.
Charlie - Not my style. #328
Brysen - Too trendy for my taste and I prefer the spelling Bryson. #195.
Braeden - Just no. If you must use it, spell it Braden. Braeden was #323, Braden was #132, Brayden was #80, Braydon was #384.. you get the idea.

Oh, and as for your parents and his parents -- tell them to butt out! It's your baby, not theirs. They have no say in what you name it. We don't tell anyone in real life what we're naming the baby because it just invites unwanted opinions, and I don't want to regret not naming by baby a name I really like just because my mother-in-law hates it. ;)

Actually those aren't very uncommon or "different" names, but some of those spellings are...bad.

Colton - nms but okay
Cole - I like this one
Adrien - I don't like this at all, but it would be better as Adrian
Addison - gaining popularity...mostly for girls
Aiden - gaining popularity
Avrey - I've heard this one a few times, its my mom's parrot's name, but spelled Avery
Bailey - I've heard it a few times, but for girls
Charlie - classic, though Charles would be more ageless and timeless
Brysen - Bryson (nms either way)
Braeden - Braden (nms either way)

there is nothing weird about "charlie". charlie/charles... normal, maybe not too common, but definitely normal.

I am a huge fan of Colton, Cole, and Aiden. Aiden is very popular in MI.

I don't think any of them are very different. mostly they're alright. I just wanted to point out in case you didn't see it a few posts back, that due to different spelling variations, some of those names are even more popular than SSA ranking even shows...

I think those names are pretty normal. Other than maybe Brysen and Adrien, they're all normal, and pretty common even, I'd say.

Colton - Ok. Rather horsey for me.
Cole - Nice
Adrien - Nms but ok
Addison - Too girly for a boy, too boyish for a girl. I dislike it on both.
Aiden - I can tolerate it spelled Aidan, but really I'm just completely sick of it all together.
Avrey - Do you mean Avery? I like that, but more for a girl.
Bailey - Way silly. I wouldn't wish this name on any higher primate. Canine maybe.
Charlie - Ok, prefer Charles.
Brysen - Nmsaa, even spelled correctly.
Braeden - -adens are taking over the world, even the misspelled ones.

A very conventional list actually, tryndee speleenz included.

most of your names sound very trendy (which means they're fairly common or becoming quite popular)

Colton - okay, sounds too cowboy for me, though
Cole - don't like
Adrien - like
Addison - trendy, don't like
Aiden - SUPER popular, don't like
Avrey - love it
Bailey - sounds like a dogs name, trendy and popular
Charlie - meh
Brysen - sounds made up and trashy
Braeden - any -aden name is super popular.

Just agreeing with the people who are saying these aren't "different" at all. They are incredibly common and super boring. Sorry.

Also, it's spelled "Avery," not Avrey.

Very, very trendy. Very.

I only like Adrien, and I prefer Adrian. I'd never use it though, because Adrienne is on my girl's list.

That spelling of Braeden is just really bad.
