carol/caroline/lynn are all family names, so I feel like I'll end up using caroline or carolyn.

I do not like adalyn or adding lyn to random sounds

Ummm...I don't think I really like any -lyn/-line names. =/ I'm on the fence with Madeline; sometimes I dislike it and sometimes I think it's okay.
I think I like Jacqueline the least.

I definitely like Marilyn and I think I like Madeline (prn Mad-el-in, not -line)
Maybe Carolyn, too.
And definitely Josephine, after the song in Titanic.
I hate Jacqueline with a passion, I was almost named that.
My dad pronounces it the french way, but my mom pronounces it Jack-woe-leen. Horrifying.

If names ending in -lene are also included, I'd like to say Arlene (which is my middle name).
It used to be Arline, but I changed it.
