This made me smile:

Link: Starchild Abraham Cherrix ordered to get cancer treatment

Edit: ...The name, people. The name. *headdesk* Why would I think cancer's funny?

That doesn't really make me smile. The name, sort of. But the story not so much. The child should be able to make his own decision about what kind of treatment he undergoes for his cancer. He's old enough to know the consequences of not listening to the doctors. Courts shouldn't be able to rule that he has to take any kind of treatment. It's not like his parents didn't tell him about the chemo, so how is it negligence? :-/

His parents arent against the alternative treatment. Social Services is claiming negligence because the parents support the alternative treatment. Once again, the government sticking it's nose in where it doesn't belong. Roar.

Funny name...sad story. :( But at least if he had chosen to not live a hippy or "alternative" style life, as it seems he has chosen to do, he has a nice solid name like Abraham to fall back on!
