Ok, my FH likes the name Amy but I don't want to use common names for our future kids because I'm a Sarah lol.

It might be a long shot but I'm interested in your ideas on a compromise, like finding a less frequently used name with the nn Amy. Can anyone think of a name with the nn Amy that hasn't been on the UK top 100 list in the last couple of years? This rules out Amelia, Amy and Aimee.

I like Amanda, Amaryllis and Amethyst.

Would your husband be willing to use Amy as a middle name and pick a different name for the first name?

Amelia and Amaryllis are the first to come to mind.

I like Amethyst! It's my birthstone :)

I was also obsessed with the name Amarantha a few years ago. I still like it, but it's gone down on my obsesso-metre :p

My youngest sister's name is Amy (Amy Lynn since this is a name community). I think it's less popular in the US.

I can't think of much that others haven't suggested, but here's what I can come up with.
Ambrosia - Ancient Greek - Feminine form of Ambrosios
Amelina - Old Germanic form of EMMELINE

I saw a girl with her name on her backpack today ... Amileigh

How about:
Jamie(e)
Ambrosia
Amy as a middle name

You could also have the initals spell A.M.Y.

My brother's name is Jamie!

Something with the j, a, and m sounds might also work:
Jasmine
Jemima
Jamilla
Jamison
Jemma

I honestly don't think Amy is that popular.

Oh, I didn't look to see where you were. I guess it's way more popular in the UK than America. (It's #130 here)
