So me and the husband will be TTC in about a month and would like some opinions on our potential names. We will be naming our first Charlie, after my grandfather, whether we have a girl or boy.
So the names we have picked out so far are..

Charlie Rose - for if we have a girl first or
Allison Rose - for if we have a girl for our second.

Charlie David - for if we have a boy first (David is my husbands name) or
Liam Owen - for if we have a boy for our second.

Last name is Sutton.
So, opinions?

Liam Owen is such an adorable name! And Charlie Rose, too. I love the name Charlie, both for girls and boys.

Charlie Rose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Rose) is the name of a person, and that's what I thought of when I saw the name.

I don't think anyone would care or notice, though. It's not like she'll be called "Charlie Rose" every day. It's pretty.

I thought of that, too, when I saw the name.

we have relatives who did the same thing--named their first Tony (after the father's brother, who died in war), regardless of sex. she is a woman. with two younger brothers :) I don't know her middle name, though.

Funny, my mother-in-law is Toni, her father was Anthony. Her mom wanted to name her Antoinette, and Gpa Rocky (His middle name, and what he went by) said, "If you want to call her Toni, name her Toni!" My husband is Anthony, named after Gpa Rocky, but he is called Anthony only (or Ant).

my sisters name is antonia but she goes by toni. she tried to have everyone call her antoinette at the beginning of hs but it didn't work out because it's not her name! lol

Anyway, my point was, Gpa Rocky was in Korea when MIL was due to be born, and Gma wanted to name her Toni/Antoinette "just in case". Kinda morbid, but eh.

I love the nickname Charlie for either a boy or a girl, but I would use it only as a nn. Could you name the child Charlotte or Charles and call the baby Charlie? This is just my opinion, but I think it's good for a person to have a more grown-up sounding name like Charlotte or Charles to use when they are grown up for more formal or adult situations.

I love Allison Rose and Liam Owen. Charlotte Rose and Charles David sound great to me as well.

I love Allison Rose! Allison isn't used much anymore for babies.. I can see it appearing very fresh and new on an infant!

I don't mind any of the names, and Charlie is one nickname that I don't mind that is "unisex," but I'm really more a fan of full names vs. nicknames. So, I would really love:

Charlotte Rose (nn Charlie)
Allison Rose

Charles David (Charlie)
William Owen (Liam)

But, it's not like I don't like your nn choices for full names, I just prefer to give your child options to names because I feel that full names sound much more professional (lets say years down the road they are interviewing for jobs... Charlotte sounds much more professional than Charlie).

I like Liam Owen, but I don't know that I'd use it with a last name starting in S. LOS...

For some reason I like Liam David Sutton more than Liam Owen Sutton. However, I do have to say I like all your name combos overall :)
