A girl on my facebook, Abigail, is pregnant with a little girl. She plans on naming her Bailey-Jane Marie. Another girl on my fb, Jessica, had twins a little while back. I thought their names were Myra and Michael, but I was looking at her pictures the other day and realized she spelled it like Micheal every time :/ so I guess that's his name?

Another girl on my facebook, Lindie, had a little boy named Lincoln (she already had another boy named Kingston, and dad's name is Dawson). And my friend Natasha had a baby boy a few months ago named Jamie (dad is named Matthew). AND another girl I know, Rebecca, had a little girl named Anabella. Wow, I didn't realize there were so many till I started, lol. I'm sure there are more, but I'll leave it at this.

Anabella is one of my all-time favorite names. Unfortunately my last name is already so long that I feel it would be unfair to give that name to my child.

Aww, I feel your pain, though I have the opposite problem. My last name is very short, and one syllable, so some names that I like sound very choppy with it and not right at all!

I feel bad for Micheal. If it's supposed to be pronounced as Michael, he's either going to have people calling him Mike-eel or (correctly) misspelling his name as Michael.

I like Myra, Bailey, Jane, Lincoln, Kingston and Anabella.

Though, Anabella reminds me of the mistress on Drop Dead Fred. I'm probably the only one who associates it like that though. lol

Yeah, I know! I don't know if she meant to spell it like that purposely, or if she just didn't know the proper way to spell it. Which ... I think you should do your research and make sure you can spell your baby's name properly before naming them it! It's kind of a big deal!

I've seen Micheal before, I would probably guess at least a handful of times. I'm not quite sure what the situation is with it, how it even came to be. I don't think it's that bad; most people will be able to figure out what it is.

For a long time I thought it was Micheal because my best friend's brother spelled it that way. It wasn't until years later I learned it was "wrong" when the store Michael's came to town. I actually think Micheal is more intuitive, and I like it more.

I know what you mean, I always spelled it like Micheal when I was younger, because that's just how I thought it was. (LOL, I remember I wrote a story in school, and one of the characters was named Mrs. Micheals, and the teacher marked it wrong. I was all 'HUH?!' lol. That's how I learned it was -ael.)
