[identity profile] libraryrachel.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So our baby boy is due in 6 weeks - and we haven't even come close to a name for him yet.

I like anything different - boys names are so hard.
One I really like is Annon (but does it sound too girlie?)
Also - what would be a good middle name for Annon?

Thanks guys!

Is that pronounced Annon like anonymous, or Annon like rhymes with cannon?
If it's like anonymous, it makes me think of /b/ which would be a horrible thing to name a child after lol
If it's like cannon, it does seem a bit girly, but I can see a boy pulling it off.

I've never heard of Annon, but if you like it then you should go for it...Also if you like that sound, how about Cameron or Ashton?
I hear you about boy names, I hope my next one is also a girl just for that!
Good luck with your baby boy and I'm sure you'll find something when you see him!

I would definately think that Annon was a boy name, however it's really not my style. (my boys are Ashton Thomas Rhys & Bradley Jonathan, which I assume really isn't your style)

Anyway, my first ideas for middle names were:
Annon Rhys
Annon Luke
Annon James
Annon Elliott
Annon Jasper
Annon Carson
Annon Miles
Annon Blaise

Ooh, I second Evander and Lysander! Especially the first one. It's one of my very faves.

Annon makes me think of anon.

Abner used to be my absolutely favorite boys' name. I also really like the suggestions Bazil, Torbin, Ari, and Harvey.

Annon doesn't make me think rhymes-with-cannon. My mind immediately pronounces it like anonymous. But if you like it, it's not a terrible choice.

Not a fan of Annon. It looks unfinished.

How about Shannon, Jaron, Gannon, or Eamonn (prn Ay-mon)?

I was just going to suggest Eamon - but with one N. I'm also really into Mateo these days, but not sure if that's your style. I also like Aaron.
