The baby's last name is Waterman, so maybe they felt Mae Elizabeth Waterman flowed better. Good names, either way!

Elizabeth is about the most boring name ever, in my opinion, but Mae Elizabeth Waterman does sound amazing.

I think it is a lovely name. I've seen Mae more lately as a middle name so it is kind of nice to see it as a first name.

I prefer Mae as a middle name, and I don't like going from the first name ending in a vowel sound and the middle name starting with a vowel. It sounds weird to me, but it's a very pretty, girly name.
