I was just on the phone with one of my good friends. Her cousin just had a baby boy. The name of the new bundle of joy?
Runner.

What does baby_names think of the name Runner? I think it's hideous, personally.

I know a guy who goes by Runner but it's his last name. First name: John. But as a first name only? NO.

I will never understand why parents do that shit to their kids. Don't they realize that they will be adults for way longer than they will be kids? Give them an actual name!

I hate it just as much as I hate Turner, which is what my cousin is going to name her current pregnancy baby if it is a boy. UGH UGH UGH. All because the boy has to be a "T" and she cannot use Thomas/Tucker, will not use Taryn/Tristan. So we will be stuck with Turner. I wish she would name it Thomas so that I could call him Tommy. Awww.

I went to college with a guy who's parent-given-name was "Ran".. I always assumed it was a nickname until I heard him tell someone else it wasn't. So yeah, Ran, Runner... both bad.
