What names make you stop and think, "hey, that's a cool name" ? I know that one person's "cool" might be another person's ridiculous, but all responses would be appreciated.

My cool names are Knight, Ryder, and Cove.
Knight is extra cool because when it's paired with our last name, Raeder, it's kinda funny. And I can't use Ryder, which was my favorite name before I met my husband, for obvious reasons. I really, really, really like Cove, though.

I told this to my husband and he said, "I like it. I've never thought of that." ...I'm scared.

Okay, so I read your cool names and posted my comment before I read the rest of your comment. And now I'm thinking, "omg, awesome."

I have been trying to convince my husband to middle-name our son Night/Knight. I love it.

Eden and Lark.

And a friend of mine has two daughters named Lyric and Six. I don't think they're 100% practical, but I like how they sound.

Cool names for me are unique, practical and not cutesy. They aren't trendy or made up (ie Nevaeh).

Some "cool" names that I like are Ezra, Jude, Norah and Harper. Although, I do realize that Harper is becoming more and more trendy/popular.

I agree about Ezra. I've always liked it.

Jude
Eden

I think Ezra is more popular than Harper. (jsut based on how often I hear it these days. I haven't looked on SSA or anything.)

I think nature/hippie names are cool. I saw a girl on TV named Snowy and was like OMGNEAT. I also like Rainey, Harvest, Winter...

Marigold. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I heard it used somewhere and fell in love with it, then not long afterwards a new character named Marigold was introduced in my favorite webcomic!

I have to say I love the sound of that. I have such a soft spot for flower names.
